"John, your site has the calm and quiet of still forest glades, of ancient holy places. This essence, this gentle peace, is the spirit you have somehow embodied here. You have taken what appears at first just another house of page-views and crafted it into a chapel of electrons, a refuge where business and other travelers can pause and recharge spiritually. Today's fast-forward world offers so few havens for re-centering ourselves or for re-grounding our spiritual energies. Thanks so much for making this site, John. Its quiet impact will soothe every soul who pauses here."
Charles Burke - Author of "Inside the Minds of Winners" www.sizzlingedge.com

"Your newest website just blew me away. What a wonderful combination of wisdom and kindness. Not surprising, since those two traits are exactly what you embody in everything you do. There's an old Jewish saying, 'Words that come from the heart, enter the heart.' Thank you John; for being a friend, a mentor, and just a great example of all that is right in our world."

Because I know in every message I'm going to receive some valuable thought or idea that has the ability to positively impact my life in some way. Those who know me know that I don't mindlessly throw out such compliments. I've known John for a while now, and I'm a better person for the wisdom he's shared with me since our friendship began. You need only hear John's mind-altering definition of success (the best gosh-darn definition I ever heard!) to know he's the man who indeed will help you delightfully discover the two necessary ingredients of "a sense of purpose" and a "touch of madness!"

LETTER FROM JOHN HARRICHARAN
-------------------------------------------------------

Dear Reader:

I am so pleased that I have been able to write and send
out another issue of my newsletter much sooner than I
had expected. There was overwhelming response from many
of you after the last newsletter. I really appreciate
your comments, your encouragement and your compliments.
I have tried to answer all the email I received. If you
did not get an answer to an email you sent me, either I
did not receive it or I replied and you did not get it.

In the United States, we just celebrated our
Thanksgiving holiday. I have always believed that
thanksgiving should not be put aside for one special
day a year, but should be something that is a part of
who we are everyday. One of the articles in this issue
is "A Matter of Giving Thanks". Within it is one of the
secrets of success, happiness and all good things.

The other article entitled, "Just don't sit there,
ASK," gives some insights into solving many of our
problems by asking for help. Simple as the process of
asking may be, don't let its simplicity fool you. Great
help is available to us by just asking for it. But who
do we ask? And when? The answers can be found in this
article.

There are still a few remaining places for my writing
eclass, which starts on December 16th. Because of time
constraints, I have decided not to ever offer this
class again. Many of those who've taken it have already
written and published their books. If you would like to
write a book and make it a great seller, this is your
final opportunity for this informative class. For
details, go to: http://www.WriteABestseller.com

The holidays are almost upon us and we'll all be
looking for gifts for friends and relatives. One of the
easiest gifts to give -- and, perhaps, the most
appreciated to receive -- is the gift of books. For the
holidays, I was able to obtain from HarperCollins, a
limited number of my printed books, "When You Can Walk
on Water, Take the Boat" and "Morning Has Been All
Night Coming". I am making these copies available to
Insight2000 newsletter readers at a ridiculously low
price of $10 for both books.

Yes, you read that correctly! Ten dollars (US) for the
beautiful HarperCollins, quality paperback editions of
"When You Can Walk on Water, Take the Boat" and
"Morning Has Been All Night Coming". But that's not
all, I'll pay the postage (book rate) to anywhere in
the continental US. Sorry I can't pay the postage for
foreign addresses, but you can email me
(JohnHarry@insight2000.com) for mailing rates, if you
are interested.

To make this a fair offer for everyone, I am limiting
the number of books you can order to six of each title.
This is so that everyone has a chance to get these
magnificent volumes for gift-giving or personal
libraries.

To find out more about this fantastic offer and how to
take advantage of it, please visit the special webpage
set up for you at: http://www.insight2000.com/books

Please watch your mailbox for information on a
teleseminar I plan to offer in the near future. Anyone
with access to a telephone, no matter what part of the
world they live in, will be able to join in the
teleseminar.

Thank you. Now on to the newsletter. The theme for this
issue is "Guidance".

listening we shall hear the right word."

ARTICLE: "A MATTER OF GIVING THANKS"
-------------------------------------------------------

A John Harricharan Article

In the United States, we just celebrated the
"Thanksgiving" holiday. Many other countries have their
own versions of "Thanksgiving." But thanksgiving is
not something that should be celebrated on one
particular day of the year. It is good that a day has
been chosen for this, but it is up to each and every
one of us to be "giving thanks" all year long.

Sometimes we look around at our financial situation and
think that there is nothing to be thankful for. Other
times we glance at our relationship or health
challenges and think that giving thanks borders on the
absurd. Yet, if we look around us, we can see that we
are not alone in our trials, that many others are
having to face similar problems.

Being thankful for life itself is a way of making life
better. When we look away from our problems, even for a
short time, and generate joy in our hearts, we find
that the world seems to change a bit. I do not know why
this is so and I don't really need to know. All I know
is that the universe seems to respond quickly to a
grateful heart.

A grateful heart is, perhaps, a heart full of
"greatness." Maybe, the way it works is that when we
break focus with our problems and we take a break from
being miserable, the River of Life flows more gently
and more fully through our being.

Try it for yourself sometime. Stop what you're doing
for one or two minutes and quiet your mind. If you're
really frightened by appearances around you or if your
problems seem insurmountable, you may find that
stilling your mind becomes a very difficult task. But
with a little practice, a minute or two at a time, it
becomes easier to do.

During this minute or two, think of two or three things
or events you are or should be grateful for. Feel how
fortunate you are to have them. For example, I consider
myself extremely blessed to have had my two children,
Malika and Jonathan, grow up the way they have. True,
there were times when I considered running away from
home. And yes, there were moments of anxiety and
concern when I thought to myself that children were
created for the sole purpose of inflicting insanity on
their parents. But don't most of us feel that way once
in a while?

Yet, with all the ups and downs of being a parent, I
consider myself the most fortunate person on earth to
have Malika and Jonathan as my children. They have
taught me patience, unconditional love and much more
than I can ever list here. I have learned from them. I
could not be who I am without the experience of being
their father. And for this, I'm grateful. I give
thanks.

How about unfortunate situations. Am I happy or
grateful that my wife died when she was only in her
thirties? Should I be thankful that I was left with two
young children to raise and an entire life to
reorganize? Of course not! But I am grateful that she
was my wife for the years we spent together. She was
only nineteen when we were married. I am grateful for
her love, for her kindness and compassion and for
making it possible for me to be what I am today.

We could all turn tragedy into triumph and disaster
into divine outcomes if we maintain a spirit of
gratitude and if we listen to our heart and soul. It is
in our quiet times, in our "thanksgiving" moments that
we can hear the universe sing to us. If we listen
carefully, we can hear it say, "You are my child and I
love you dearly. Look around you. All that I have is
yours. Everything is yours. It always has been. Please
unwrap your gifts."

ARTICLE: "JUST DON'T SIT THERE --- ASK"
-------------------------------------------------------

A John Harricharan Article

Many years ago, I was sitting with a number of top
executives in a business meeting. We were discussing
the possibilities of getting more customers. The
thought came to me that we should call Jim, a certain
competitor, and ask him if he would send us some of his
extra business. The thought seemed so ridiculous that I
didn't even voice it. What? Ask a competitor for
business? It was too far-fetched to consider.

A week later at a trade meeting, I bumped into Jim. We
talked for a little while about our various businesses
and then I did a strange thing. I asked him if he had
any extra business that he couldn't handle at the
present time. I told him that we had some excess
capacity at the plant and would be willing to help him
out.

Jim looked at me and smiled. "I wish you had asked me
that last week," he said. "You see, John, we recently
acquired two new, large accounts but we didn't want to
lose some of our smaller accounts. We are working over
capacity right now. We wanted to give some of the
excess work to another company that had the capability
of handling them."

Jim shook his head and continued. "I thought of calling
you folks to ask whether you wanted some extra
business. Before I could make the call, I got
sidetracked with other things and forgot about it for a
day or two. Then, a few days ago, Marty from XYZ
Corporation called and asked if we had any contracts
that they could help us out with. I was only too happy
to agree. I wish you had asked me sooner."

Yes, I, too, wished I had just ASKED. For many reasons
we are reluctant to ask for what we want. The feelings
are complex as to why we hesitate to ask for help when
we need it most. I, too, have faced situations where
I'd rather walk a thousand miles than ask for help.
Perhaps, it is human nature, but I really don't know.

I do know, however, that many times the difference
between success and failure is the simple act of
asking. And who do we ask? And how? This is where the
secret lies. An old man once said to me, "Go to God
first, and then to man as God directs." The first place
to turn to is the Invisible Force that pervades the
universe. Some call this Force God. Others call it "All
That Is" or Jehovah or many other different names.

We ask in the quiet of our hearts. If we listen
carefully, we are led to ask the right person. And if
we do this with a confident heart, believing that we
deserve the support of the universe, we'd be amazed at
the results. With strange turns and with mysterious
means we're led to the answer we seek.

Learn to ask for help. Ask in the silence of your soul
first, and then ask the person you feel led to. That
person could be a friend, a family member, a minister,
a counselor or a business associate. Sometimes help
comes from strange places. In addition to writing
articles, newsletters and books, lecturing and
conducting seminars, I am also an intuitive consultant.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people call me for
a consultation, guidance and insigt and say that they
were led to call me through something they saw on my
websites, the suggestion of a friend, a book they read
or even a dream.

Our world seems to be moving at a faster pace than ever
before. Changes seem to come upon us with lightning
speed. But that is one of the laws of the universe.
Change will always come into our lives. It's how we
deal with it that's important. If we meet change with
confidence and trust, we'll find the strength, courage
and support to adapt, adjust and welcome change. Hope
does shine all around.

There are times when events seem to catch up with us
and we find ourselves at the end of our rope. Worse,
there appears to be nowhere to turn, no help available,
no rest for the weary. Do not be deceived by what
appears to be. There is an ancient saying, "Ask and ye
shall receive."

Whatever the times seem to be, whatever problems we
face, whatever difficulties we imagine in our minds,
let us remember that there is always a way out. Let us
remember that we are children of the universe with all
the gifts of the universe at our disposal. Let us ask
the universe for what we need and we'll be guided to
someone who will be the answer to our problem. Just
don't sit there -- ASK!

POEM: "MY WAGE"
-------------------------------------------------------

by Jessie B. Rittenhouse

I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.

For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you've set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

I worked for a menial's hire,
Only to learn dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have gladly paid.
