"John, your site has the calm and quiet of still forest glades, of ancient holy places. This essence, this gentle peace, is the spirit you have somehow embodied here. You have taken what appears at first just another house of page-views and crafted it into a chapel of electrons, a refuge where business and other travelers can pause and recharge spiritually. Today's fast-forward world offers so few havens for re-centering ourselves or for re-grounding our spiritual energies. Thanks so much for making this site, John. Its quiet impact will soothe every soul who pauses here."
Charles Burke - Author of "Inside the Minds of Winners" www.sizzlingedge.com

"Your newest website just blew me away. What a wonderful combination of wisdom and kindness. Not surprising, since those two traits are exactly what you embody in everything you do. There's an old Jewish saying, 'Words that come from the heart, enter the heart.' Thank you John; for being a friend, a mentor, and just a great example of all that is right in our world."

Because I know in every message I'm going to receive some valuable thought or idea that has the ability to positively impact my life in some way. Those who know me know that I don't mindlessly throw out such compliments. I've known John for a while now, and I'm a better person for the wisdom he's shared with me since our friendship began. He is a true giver in every sense of the word. John kudos to you for sharing your knowledge with others. You rock my friend! ..."

You need only hear John's mind-altering definition of success (the best gosh-darn definition I ever heard!) to know he's the man who indeed will help you delightfully discover the two necessary ingredients of "a sense of purpose" and a "touch of madness!"

LETTER FROM JOHN HARRICHARAN
-------------------------------------------------------

Dear Reader:

I have heard you. Recently many of you wrote to me asking if I would send my newsletters the way I used to -- with lots of inspirational material and a few informative comments about products or events. Yes, I hear you.

And I do want to do that. So this is the beginning of a whole new series of newsletters that will be filled with lots of practical and inspirational material that will help you navigate the sometimes treacherous highways and byways of life.

But there are a few changes. Because it takes a good bit of resources such as time, effort, finances, etc. to make this endeavor worthwhile, I ask you to be tolerant and understanding when I share information with you about a book or other product I recommend.

In hard times, we need all the hope and inspiration we can gather -- a daily dose, if needs be -- to keep on keeping on till our current challenges are overcome.

So, at any time, if you are not pleased with my newsletter, please feel free to unsubscribe. Information to remove yourself from my list is at the end of each newsletter. I will miss you, but our lives will continue. It's that simple.

Now on to other things...

In the United States, we recently celebrated our Thanksgiving Day holiday. I have always believed that thanksgiving should not be put aside for one special day a year, but should be a part of our lives, of who we are every day. The article in this issue is called, "A Matter of Giving Thanks". Contained within it is one of the greatest secrets for continued success, happiness, prosperity and all good things.

The holidays are almost upon us and we'll all be looking for gifts for friends and relatives. One of the easiest gifts to give -- and, perhaps, the most appreciated to receive -- is the gift of a personal, intuitive consultation with me. Receiving the gift of clarity, insight and perception is an invaluable treasure during times of change and uncertainty.

Since the schedule usually fills up quickly, I urge you to make your appointment as soon as possible. You can schedule a consultation appointment for yourself or a loved one. The information is at:

http://JohnHarricharan-Consultations.com

As an added gift from me, for those of you who book a consultation, I will also send you a free, autographed, paperback copy of my award-winning book, "Morning Has Been All Night Coming." Furthermore, I will pay the shipping and handling charges if your address is in the continental United States or Canada.

By the way, you can find me on FaceBook and on Twitter.

Thank you. Now on to the newsletter. Today's theme is "Thanksgiving"

QUOTES TO REMEMBER
-------------------------------------------------------

"The well of Providence is deep. It's the buckets we bring to it that are small."
--Mary Webb

"Thanksgiving is based on the premise that living a life of appreciation and gratefulness leads to having more to be thankful for. We have the ability to create blessings in our lives through the power of our minds and the choices we make."
-- Sir John Templeton

"Give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way."
-- Native American Proverb

ARTICLE: "A MATTER OF GIVING THANKS"
-------------------------------------------------------

A John Harricharan Article

In the United States, we have just celebrated our "Thanksgiving" holiday. Many other countries have their own versions of "Thanksgiving." But thanksgiving is not something that should be celebrated on one particular day of the year. It is good that a day has been chosen for this, but it is up to each and every one of us to be "giving thanks" all year long.

Sometimes we look at our financial situation and think that there is nothing to be thankful for. Other times we glance at our relationship or health challenges and think that giving thanks borders on the absurd. Yet, if we look around us, we can see that we are not alone in our trials, that many others are having to face similar problems.

Being thankful for life itself is a way of making life better. When we look away from our problems, even for a short time, and generate joy in our hearts, we find that the world seems to change a bit. I do not know why this is so and I don't really need to know. All I know is that the universe seems to respond quickly to a grateful heart.

A grateful heart is, perhaps, a heart full of "greatness." Maybe, the way it works is that when we break focus with our problems and we take a break from being miserable, the River of Life flows more gently and more fully through our being.

Try it for yourself sometime. Stop what you're doing for one or two minutes and quiet your mind. If you're really frightened by appearances around you or if your problems seem insurmountable, you may find that stilling your mind becomes a very difficult task. But with a little practice, a minute or two at a time, it becomes easier to do.

During this minute or two, think of two or three things or events you are or should be grateful for. Feel how fortunate you are to have them. For example, I consider myself extremely blessed to have had my two children, Malika and Jonathan, grow up the way they have. True, there were times when I considered running away from home. And yes, there were moments of anxiety and concern when I thought to myself that children were created for the sole purpose of inflicting insanity on their parents. But I imagine that many of us feel that way every once in a while?

Yet, with all the ups and downs of being a parent, I consider myself the most fortunate person on earth to have Malika and Jonathan as my children. They have taught me patience, unconditional love and much more than I can ever list here. I have learned from them. I could not be who I am without the experience of being their father. And for this, I'm grateful. I give thanks.

How about unfortunate situations. Am I happy or grateful that my wife died when she was only in her thirties? Should I be thankful that I was left with two young children to raise and an entire life to reorganize? Of course not! But I am grateful that she was my wife for the years we spent together. She was only nineteen when we were married. I am grateful for her love, for her kindness and compassion and for making it possible for me to be what I am today.

We could all turn tragedy into triumph and disaster into divine outcomes if we maintain a spirit of gratitude and if we listen to our heart and soul. It is in our quiet times, in our "thanksgiving" moments that we can hear the universe sing to us. If we listen carefully, we can hear it say, "You are my child and I love you dearly. Look around you. All that I have is yours. Everything is yours. It always has been. Please unwrap your gifts."

MORE QUOTES TO REMEMBER
-------------------------------------------------------

"When something does not insist on being noticed, when we aren't grabbed by the collar or struck on the skull by a presence or an event, we take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude."
--Cynthia Ozick

"Gratitude, praise and thanksgiving activate the divine laws of abundance. When the universe can see we are conscious of and grateful for what we have, it is activated to shower us with more."
--Iyanla Vanzant

POEM: "DON'T QUIT"
-------------------------------------------------------

Author Unknown

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must -- but don't you quit

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow --
You might succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is the failure turned inside out --
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt --
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit --
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

STILL ANOTHER QUOTE TO PONDER
-------------------------------------------------------
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who will not survive the week.

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back,a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank or in your wallet, you are among the top 8% of the worlds wealthy.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

A few "John Harricharan" quotes

"You do not really believe what you see. Instead, you actually see what you believe. So, if you do not like what you are seeing, examine your belief systems and make the necessary changes."
---John Harricharan

"Whatever you see in your mind -- good or bad -- if you believe it with your whole body, mind and spirit, it will come to pass. Creation starts in your mind with your thoughts and imagination… As you think and believe, so it becomes."
---John Harricharan
"Whenever problems seem to get the best of me, whenever I feel them closing in on me, I go to a quiet place that lies somewhere in my soul. I do not reason, analyze or think. Those will come later. I simply go. From this place of silence, I garner strength and inspiration to stand firm in the face of fire, to be calm in the midst of thunder. When I emerge, the world has not changed, but I have. And in changing, a whole new world is born."
---John Harricharan
